Here's what to put in your winter survival kit

Winter driving season has arrived in Lawton, which means it's time to think about staying safe on the roads. In addition to adjusting your driving and making sure your vehicle is in good shape, one of the ways to prepare for winter is to have a winter survival kit. Here are some tips on how to do that.

Your winter survival kit needs to contain essentials, but you don't want it to become unwieldy or take up a huge space in your car or truck. At a minimum, you should have a blanket, gloves, non-perishable food and water, a flashlight, an extra cell phone charger and a first-aid kit. You also might want to include items such as a hand shovel and tools.

We here at Billingsley Hyundai of Lawton want to make sure you stay safe driving in winter weather, and a winter survival kit will help if you have problems.
